January 18, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 10:00am, repeating indefinitely

WE WILL BE RIDING TWO MOUNTAINS ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 19TH HIGHLANDS & SNOWMASS

You asked for it, you got it! A bunch of you interemediate riders have asked for an additional day on Snowmass Mountain, so we have added Thursday for those of you that may not to explore Aspen Highlands. We will meet Base Village by the Six Pack lift, look for our signs and Ambassadors.

MEET AT BASE OF EXHIBITION LIFT AT 10AM
Look for our Gay Ski Week welcome signs at the bottom of Aspen Highlands. Our ski concierges will be waiting to guide you around the mountain, no matter what your level of riding is. We will have a group for the beginners (greens), intermediates (blues), the advanced (blacks), and the experts (double-blacks) leaving from the base of Highlands at 10am sharp.

*Skiers & snowboarders assume all liability while riding during these ski days just as you would if you were on your own. Our AGSW guides are merely ambassadors that know the area and meant to show you around as a group. They are not instructors and assume no responsibility for assessing your ability level.

MEET AT MERRY GO ROUND RESTAURANT FOR LUNCH AT 12:30
We’ll show you the best runs that “the locals’ mountain” has to offer, and we’ll get you to Merry-Go-Round Restaurant by 12:30 to grab lunch with the other ski week-ers!

ABOUT ASPEN HIGHLANDS
Aspen Highlands is a 12,500-foot mountain with ambiance and attitude. It is meant to be skied—hard. With 970 acres to play in and a 3,635-foot vertical, the mountain is skewed to the advanced skier and is constantly looking for ways to further challenge those who are up to the task. Deep Temerity, a speedy triple chair, climbs 1,700 vertical feet in a little over seven minutes and accesses acres of new, advanced and expert landscape. There is plenty of mid-mountain, easier terrain to practice on before hitting the steps. But for the locals, it’s all about the Highland Bowl—an off-piste thrill-ride—which culminates in untracked descents down 45-degree pitches.
