Please understand this year “It’s Not About The Party; It’s About Giving Back”.
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”none”]We wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that Aspen Gay Ski Week 2021 Lite will have ZERO PARTIES or GATHERINGS. We absolutely encourage all who are coming to enjoy outdoor snow sports to abide by strict social distancing rules, mask-wearing, hand washing, and staying away from other households. All events will take a virtual format this year and can be found on our event page: https://gayskiweek.com/events
The host hotel, The Limelight Aspen, will offer an Apres Ski menu to offer 3-7pm with very limited social distant seating. We strongly recommend setting up a reservation to secure your spot by calling Limelight – 970-544-6952[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text css_animation=”none” css=”.vc_custom_1610512465397{margin-bottom: 5px !important;}”]
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR UPCOMING TRIP
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”none”]Dear Stay Aspen Snowmass guest,
Effective Sunday, January 17, Pitkin County is moving to stricter Red-level Covid-19 restrictions, closing indoor dining. All Aspen Skiing Company restaurants will be going to outdoor dining, pick-up, and delivery only for a minimum of two weeks. Access to on-mountain restaurants will be available for ordering food, picking up food, restrooms, and quick warm-ups only. Masks must be worn at all times inside buildings.
We will have outdoor seating on decks, in open-air tents, and in public spaces for dining. Tables are limited to single household use only and no group larger than 8 people. Use online ordering and Qless technology available on the Aspen Snowmass App to minimize wait times and have the best experience.
We will reopen for indoor dining as soon as we are given the go-ahead by County officials. Lift-served skiing is open and there are no plans to shut down skiing operations.
Pitkin County Restrictions under the new Public Health Order:
Indoor dining at restaurants is prohibited; use takeout, curbside, or delivery options instead. Outdoor dining is permitted with those in your household. The last call is at 8 p.m.
Only congregate with your own household. This applies to all lodging reservations and accommodations. No indoor events allowed.
Travel affidavit: Pitkin County’s Visitor Affidavit program asks all travelers to sign a document stating they have tested negative for COVID-19 and are symptom-free. Visit Pitkin County’s affidavit page to sign yours. Please note, a new rapid testing site opened this week in downtown Aspen.
Please view full updated Pitkin County details here.
What is a Household (as defined by Pitkin County)?
Anyone who currently lives in and shares common spaces in your housing unit (house or apartment)
Households can include family members and or people who aren’t related to you, like roommates
People who don’t currently live with you (for example, college students who return home from school on breaks) are part of different households.
If you have more questions or need to make travel and lodging updates, please call 877-602-7736 or email sasinfo@aspensnowmass.com. Please note, call wait times may be longer than usual. In the spirit of the holidays, we ask you to be patient, forgive any extra wait, and bear with us as we all navigate ever-changing state and local guidelines.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text css_animation=”none” css=”.vc_custom_1607648142624{margin-bottom: 5px !important;}”]

Will Aspen Gay Ski Week Still happen in January 2021?
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”none”]Yes, but more of an “AGSW 2021 LITE” version. After monitoring the current state of COVID-19, we have decided to alter our programming for Aspen Gay Ski Week 2021. This decision has not come without much thought and consideration. The safety of our patrons and staff is very important to us. At this time, our larger gatherings such as the Pool Party, Belly Up Comedy Night and Dance Party, and Top of the Mountain Dance Party will take a break or take a new virtual form for 2021. As gathering guidelines continue to change, we will too. Plans to come back better than ever for 2022 (our 45th Anniversary) are also in the works.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”none” css=”.vc_custom_1601510291194{margin-bottom: 5px !important;}”]
What do you mean by “AGSW 2021 LITE”?
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”none”]All of our larger flagship gatherings including Belly Up Comedy and Dance Night, Top of The Mountain Dance Party, Drag Queen Bingo at a Bar, and Pool Party will take a break for 2021.
While our flagship gatherings will pause for 2021, hotels, ski and snowboarding equipment rentals, and lift tickets are all on sale through our website which will provide the best pricing and also help AspenOUT raise funds to continue its year-round philanthropic work in the LGBTQ+ Community.
We continue to see longtime AGSW ski and snowboarding attendees book accommodations through GaySkiWeek.com. Attendees can enjoy all of the outdoor snow sport activities Aspen has to offer during the week of AGSW 2021.

Virtual events are in planning stages for those who are coming to Aspen during January 17-24, 2021, and also for those who are not coming.
Current state and local government rules and regulations cap the number of people for any social gathering, require social distancing for those who are not in the same household unit, and also require masks to be worn in public at all times. For current rules and regulations taking place in Aspen, please click here.
If state and local government rules and regulations remain the same and our host hotel, the Limelight Aspen is able to accommodate, there is the possibility of small socially distanced dining and cocktail tables for Apres Ski. As with most events in the past year, plans can change week-to-week and day-to-day. Please understand we do not have any control over state and local government rules and regulations.
At the very least, you can plan on enjoying a fabulous snow sporting week in Aspen all while helping raise funds for the LGBTQ+ Community! That’s how it all started in the first place, small groups of LGBTQ+ friends getting together and enjoying a ski vacation.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”none” css=”.vc_custom_1601510301425{margin-bottom: 5px !important;}”]
Will refunds be offered for lift tickets, rentals, and hotels if COVID-19 gets worse?
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”none”]While we understand that COVID-19 is constantly changing on a daily basis, each hotel and rental company has its own policy for refunds and credits. Please be sure to read each of their policies before booking your ski equipment rental, lift ticket, and hotel accommodations. Aspen Gay Ski Week does not provide refunds for any of these purchases.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”none” css=”.vc_custom_1601510315206{margin-bottom: 5px !important;}”]
How safe is it to ski and what guidelines are being used?
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css_animation=”none”]Aspen Snowmass is putting in place procedures that will keep our guests, employees, and community safe and healthy. Read about their COVID-19 Operating Procedures here.

Aspen Gay Ski Week (AGSW) has heard stories of some being directly affected by COVID-19 and our hearts go out to all. We sympathize with everyone throughout the country and world who are being financially impacted by the “Stay-At-Home” efforts to stop the spread of this virus.
AspenOUT, the charity organization behind AGSW, continues to support the Roaring Fork Valley, as well as all of its benefactors throughout the country during this challenging time. Our team is right there with you virtually working from home to continue our ongoing planning for Aspen Gay Ski Week 2021. Currently, we are still moving forward with plans for AGSW 2021 to take place during Sunday, January 17 through Sunday, January 24, 2021. We are also in the process of relaunching our website with some fabulous new features.
One of those features includes our brand new text messaging service. We will utilize our text messaging service to get information out to guests during AGSW 2021 in real time. This will help notify people of venue changes, ticket information and more. Sign-up for our new text service here. Please also take a moment to follow and like our Facebook page and Instagram as we will continue to share photos, stories and more information relating to AGSW 2021.
As we are a world-class travel destination, Aspen has been effected significantly hard during this time. Most businesses, mountains, and hotels within Aspen and surrounding areas are closed. Due to those current circumstances, we are holding off our Blind Date sales for a few more weeks; however, we are planning all of our events and have secured all of our venues for 2021. We encourage you to follow our social media pages and sign-up to our text message club to get the most up-to-date information on when passes, tickets, hotels, lift tickets, downhill tables, and more will go on sale. In addition, we will keep our website updated and keep you informed through our email newsletters.
Thank you for your ongoing support. Please stay healthy and safe. Everyone at Aspen Gay Ski Week looks forward to being back together again for an amazing 44th Annual Aspen Gay Ski Week 2021![/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_single_image image=”7305″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
