Mountain Du Jour – Snowmass

Mountain Du Jour – Tuesday, January 19 | 10AM – 3PM
THE BOUNDLESS GIANT: SNOWMASS MOUNTAIN
Sprawling across an astonishing 3,300+ acres, Snowmass is the grand canvas of Aspen winter culture—where vintage alpine nostalgia meets endless high-country thrill. Home to the longest vertical drop in the country (a heart-pumping 4,406 feet!), this legendary giant offers a timeless winter playground that has captured the hearts of powder hounds for generations.
From floating through pristine pine glades and carving endless, sun-drenched groomers to conquering raw high-alpine bowls, Snowmass delivers pure, unbridled mountain freedom. It’s the ultimate homage to classic Colorado skiing: massive scale, breathtaking vistas, and that vibrant, golden-era stoke that keeps the spirit of the Rockies alive.

A Quick Note from the Trail
Just like the pioneers of the peak, skiers and snowboarders assume all personal liability while riding. Our AGSW guides are passionate local ambassadors here to share the mountain’s best-kept secrets and classic vibes—not certified instructors. They do not assess ability levels, so know your limits, bring your stoke, and let’s make some mountain memories!
Après at Limelight
No matter what season it is, we call our happiest four hours of the day “après.” Ask anyone, and they’ll tell you it’s the place to be in Aspen from 3–7 pm daily.
Après-ski is a French term that literally means “after skiing.” It refers to the social activities that take place after a day of skiing or snowboarding. Après-ski is a great time to socialize with other skiers and snowboarders. You can meet new people, swap stories about your day on the slopes, and make new friends. AGSW Après lends itself to a drink before dinner and to loosening up to dance the night away at our nightly events.
